Awards
The purpose of the Awards Committee is to recognize excellence through the VSFMA Awards Program and judging applications to select the Chapter’s “Field of the Year” winners.
Bylaws
The purpose of the Bylaws Committee is to maintain VSFMA’s bylaws and propose amendments so that the bylaws continue to outline and guide the Chapter’s operations and activities.
Education
The purpose of the Education Committee is to recommend useful topics that will reinforce basics and/or provide new information on developing and maintaining safe and superior playing conditions for sports fields.
Finance
The purpose of the Finance Committee is to manage and report VSFMA’s finances and propose an annual budget to the Chapter’s Board of Directors by October 31st each year.
Membership
The purpose of the Membership Committee is to expand VSFMA membership in all regions of the Commonwealth by bringing awareness of sports turf management while retaining current members by meeting their needs.
Nominating
The purpose of the Nominating Committee is to source and recommend VSFMA members who are interested in serving on the Chapter’s Board of Directors.
Sponsorship
The purpose of the Sponsorship Committee is to create and maintain an annual VSFMA sponsorship program while actively engaging with businesses within the sports turf industry to provide ongoing financial support for the Chapter.
